The CGMSC PTO is a volunteer organization that directly supports our school by providing a network of parents and guardians interested in enhancing educational and personal growth opportunities for our students.
Our PTO assists the school with fundraising events to help support the school’s mission. Some events include school-wide catalog sales, Spring Flower sale, Dine to Donate at local restaurants, Box Tops for Education and “free money” programs through Target, Marsh, Meijer and Kroger. Since the PTO operates as an extension of the school rather than a separate organization, all funds collected go directly to CGMSC to benefit student programs.
Our PTO also enables the school to provide fun activities that enhance student’s middle school experience. Some areas that the PTO have traditionally assisted in include: School Dances, Ice Cream Fridays, Team celebrations, Field trips, Class projects, etc. Our PTO also recognizes teachers and staff through providing staff luncheons and some professional development funding.
CGMSC PTO needs interested parents and guardians to fill out a Membership & Volunteer Form so we can keep you informed about school functions, volunteer opportunities and upcoming fund-raising events such as Dine to Donate, Box Tops collections and other free money opportunities. Remember that a Background Check is necessary if you are involved in volunteering to supervise some field trips. You can download a copy of the Background Check and/or Membership Form or pick them up at the Main Office.
There is a tax deductible membership donation on the PTO form, which is recommended, but not required. Your monetary donations help cover up front expenses that support the programs above, but the PTO also needs your time and commitment, which also serves as a much needed in-kind donation.
