PTO Fundraising

Throughout the year, the Pleasant Grove PTO coordinates a wide variety of fundraisers.  Most of the money raised goes directly to support the teachers and students.  Funds raised during the 2011-2012 school year provided PGES students and staff with the following:

 

Grants to each classroom (approximately $150 per classroom).....$4,050

Grants for 5th grade programs (Bradford Woods Trip and class gift)…..$4,093

Grants to grade activities (teacher miscellaneous, Music, Tech).....$6,628

Grants to clubs (Intramurals, Chess Club, Little Hoosiers).....$200

Grants for grade level field trips (Wonder lab)…..$400

Fast Track (donation to families needing school supplies)…..$500

Donation to PGES Library…..$1000

School Activities (Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Dance, Fall/Valentine Parties)…. $2,473

ISEP snacks provided to students on test days…..$854

Staff Appreciation Week…..$700

PTO Administrative Costs (copies, bank, postage, insurance, etc.)…..$1,627

New Playground Equipment…..approx. $32,000

 

We are so proud to announce that the students, parents and teachers of Pleasant Grove Elementary raised over $32,000 over the past two years to spend on revitalizing and improving the playgrounds.

 

Several new pieces of equipment were installed including basketball goals, slides, climbing area, etc. 

Also, the Dad’s Club graciously donated the funds to repave and stripe the lot were the students play four-square, basketball, hop scotch, etc.
