Hi there! I grew up in Plainfield, IN, and then I moved after fifth grade to Mooresville, IN. While in high school, I was a member of the tennis team and the a capella choir, Mooresville Madrigals. After high school, I attended Indiana University - Purdue University of Indianapolis for a year before transferring to Indiana University where I graduated with High Distinction in 2010.

After graduating from IU, I got my first teaching job in Gary, IN, where I taught fifth grade. Most importantly, I married my wife in October of 2010! This past year, my wife served our country in Afghanistan for 7 months and just returned in early August. This marks my 2nd year at CGES, and I could not choose a better school to be a part of.

I am an avid reader and I hope to convey my love of literature to my students. Some of my favorite books are the Bible, To Kill a Mockingbird, Holes, Treasure Island, the Harry Potter series, Being George Washington, The Overton Window, Teach Like Your Hair's on Fire, and There Are No Shortcuts. I am also a huge sports fan. My favorite sport is baseball and my favorite team is the Pittsburgh Pirates. I also follow the Indiana Hoosiers basketball and football teams, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Pacers. When I can find the time, I love to fish, water ski, and enjoy the outdoors.
