Center Grove at a Glance

The Center Grove Community School Corporation is located in White River Township, Johnson County, Indiana approximately 20 miles south of downtown Indianapolis. The district serves over 7,500 students in one high school, two middle school and five elementary schools. Center Grove continues to be one of the fastest growing districts in Indiana. Its superior schools are cited as a major reason for moving to the area.

The first educational facility for White River Township pupils was erected in 1882 at the site of the present high school. School buildings and additions have constantly been under construction or in the planning stages since 1962.   Enrollment in the Center Grove Community School Corporation has grown rapidly since 1954, when the total number of students was approximately 1,000. Currently district student enrollment is approximately 7500.
