Vision
Center Grove Community School Corporation is the focal point for the community in White River Township. The future success of students depends upon a strong and integrated foundation of school, home and community. Decisions are based on the best interests of students. Continuous measurement and assessment support educational excellence. Our schools provide “inspired leadership” to encourage and enable all students to achieve their highest potential.
Community
The school and community are involved in a partnership supporting the educational process through volunteer opportunities for parents and community members. These opportunities create extended learning experiences for students. Through an organized, coordinated process, financial and volunteer support is sought as a key to developing this partnership. The school partners with organizations like the Center Grove Education Foundation and alumni organizations to create and support learning opportunities for students and to enhance the relationship between the community and the Corporation. Students enjoy sharing their learning in active, participatory events with the community.
Education
Center Grove youth participate in a process of learning which addresses academic strengths, challenges and standards. The Corporation celebrates the inherent strengths of building confidence, knowledge, and responsibility. Technical and organizational skills, time management, team work and interpersonal skills are viewed as essential to the personal success of students. The combination of curricular, extra and co-curricular activities and community activities, helps facilitate the process and supports the attainment of these skills. Using research and best practice to guide the school improvement process, ongoing professional development enhances the instructional practices of teachers. Ample resources are available to support professional development, its evaluation and targeted revisions for all personnel.
Youth
With a desire to achieve excellence, students are confident in their knowledge and their responsibility to their community and society. Through commitment, involvement, and the development of partnerships, students understand the diversity of the global world.
