Principal's Corner

A Message from Our Principal

Welcome to the Pleasant Grove Elementary School website!
My name is Trael Kelly and this is my ninth year as principal of Pleasant Grove Elementary School. I like you am a parent and take pride in understanding your perspective.  I am a father of three wonderful children, Cooper, Quinn, and Cade and a husband to my wife Christine.
As one of the five elementary schools in the Center Grove Community School Corporation, we take pride in our students, staff, parents, and community partners.  We take pride in our student achievement scores, the rigor we provide, and the standards we maintain.  These standards are the reason Pleasant Grove has been recognized as a 4-Star by the State of Indiana on several occasions and has consistently received an A grade from the Indiana Department of Education.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage parents to get involved.  Pleasant Grove has a strong tradition of parent involvement through the PTO and classroom volunteers.  I challenge you to take an active role in the development of your child’s education and invite you to volunteer in the many events held throughout the school year.
Remember to READ, READ, READ with your children.  Research has consistently shown that students who regularly read and expose themselves to new vocabulary perform better academically.
