Welcome to our Room 10 Family!  My name is Mrs. Heather Trammell and I have been involved in both private and public education for over twenty-five years.  I hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in both music and elementary education.  I completed my undergraduate work at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and my graduate work at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA.  After my graduate work, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where I taught in Glendale for 8 years.  It was there that I met my husband, Kevin. We got married and had two daughters, Devin and Brett.  Kevin had an opportunity to relocate our family to Indiana back in 2008, which allowed us to be closer to his family in Morgantown, IN, and my family in Cincinnati, OH.  In the fall of 2008, we welcomed our third daughter, Brooke.  I was blessed to stay home and be a full-time mom for a few years, but missed the classroom once the girls started school.  I taught Pre-K at Mount Pleasant Christian Church while Brooke was still in preschool and transitioned back to the public classroom in November 2013 as a Developmental Preschool teacher.  This is my tenth year teaching kindergarten.  I also serve as a Student Council co-leader with Mrs. Nikou and am the Kindergarten Grade Level Chair for the corporation.  

Kevin and I have been married for 21 years.  Devin is a junior at the University of Arkansas - Little Rock, Brett is a freshman at Purdue, and Brooke is a freshman at Center Grove High School.  We have two golden retrievers, Sadie and Charlie, and an Australian Shepherd, Ariel.  We are all involved with the Center Grove Aquatic Club, where Kevin coaches, I serve as President on the board, and Brooke swims competitively.  I have continued my love of music by teaching private string lessons out of my home and providing tutoring for students in grades K-5.  When we aren't at school or the pool, we enjoy playing cards, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family!
