DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20
Our 5th annual Veterans Day Program is coming up and even though it will be virtual this year, we still want to hold our school-wide contest. We are looking for students to write an essay, a poem or create artwork that speaks to the honor of our veterans' service and represents our theme “Answer the Call.” The winning essay, winning poem and winning artwork will be announced during the Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 11. This is a unique opportunity to show your appreciation and support for our local veterans. The writing submissions should be no more than 2-3 pages and can be submitted by scanning the QR codes found outside any Social Studies classroom. Submissions are due by Friday, October 30 to be considered for the program. Please see Miss Wissel or Mrs. Preston if you have any questions. Help us honor our Veterans with your creativity and spirit.
Hat Day is THIS Thursday! We are raising money for our Veterans Day program so find your favorite hat, bring in $1 (or more, if you are feeling generous) and help support our Veterans! All proceeds from Hat Day will go towards purchasing gifts for our veterans. Remember, the grade level that donates the most money will WIN and get to PIE the other Social Studies teachers!
