Congratulations to 6th grader Allen Moore and welcome to the Wall of Champions. Allen read 5 current YHBA titles and passed the tests on all 5. He was able to pick out a free candy yesterday. Great job Allen!

Hey MSC! Next week is Red Ribbon Week. This is an awareness campaign to prevent the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. To help raise awareness, next week we will be having spirit days. On Monday, we will be having Pajama Day to dream about a drug free life. On Tuesday, we will be having Sunglasses/Neon Day to outshine drugs. On Wednesday, we will be having backwards day to turn back on drugs. On Thursday, we will be having CG Spirit Day to show your spirit against drugs. On Friday, we will be having costume day to scare away drugs.

Our 5th annual Veterans Day Program is coming up and even though it will be virtual this year, we still want to hold our school-wide contest. We are looking for students to write an essay, a poem or create artwork that speaks to the honor of our veterans' service and represents our theme “Answer the Call.” The winning essay, winning poem and winning artwork will be announced during the Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 11. This is a unique opportunity to show your appreciation and support for our local veterans. The writing submissions should be no more than 2-3 pages and can be submitted by scanning the QR codes found outside any Social Studies classroom. Submissions are due by Friday, October 30 to be considered for the program. Please see Miss Wissel or Mrs. Preston if you have any questions. Help us honor our Veterans with your creativity and spirit.

Hey, MSC! We are getting closer and closer to Halloween! So, this week's Friday After-School Movie has witches, wizards, ghosts, and a haunted house. Please have your ride here to pick you up by 4:30. Hope to see you there!
