SERGEANT JAMES COOPER III
Police Experience
Sergeant Cooper started working for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in 2005 as a reserve jailer. In 2006, he became a Reserve Sheriff’s Deputy in the road division. From 2005 until February 2008, he worked as a reserve detective. During that time, in 2007, he worked as a dispatcher for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, dispatching for law enforcement, fire departments, medical services, and answering 911 calls. He worked as a dispatcher and a reserve until he was hired as a full-time Sheriff’s Deputy in 2008. During his time as a full-time Sheriff’s Deputy, Sergeant Cooper worked the road division, as a detective in the Investigations Division where he located sex offenders, and in the jail division where he transported prisoners.Education- Perry Meridian High School (Indianapolis, Indiana)
