In order to be a substitute bus driver for the Center Grove Community School Corporation, you are required to follow the procedures listed below, as well as attend a training scheduled by Rick Pederson, Transportation Director, or his designee.

Complete an online application and include all required attachments for review by the Center Grove Transportation Department. Applicants will be contacted as needed regarding training by the Transportation Department. Once the Transportation Department has contacted you about training, they will notify Human Resources, who will call you to come in and fill out paperwork and pay the $31.50 for a complete background check. When you have completed training the Transportation Department will notify Human Resources and you will be added to the Substitute Bus Driver list.
Applicants are called on an as needed basis, but will remain on the active application list unless notified by the Transportation Department or until you delete your application from the system. This shall not be an agreement of guaranteed employment at anytime. Substitutes are considered on call as needed only.
The Center Grove Community School Corporation has an online application process. It is the applicant's responsibility to upload/attach all required documents.
Advantages of the online application process:
- You have the ability to update your application whenever necessary.
- You will be able to select the position(s) for which you wish to apply with a click of a button. Your information will automatically be forwarded to the person selecting candidates to be interviewed.
- The online application process is e-mail driven. If your e-mail address changes, you must update your application or you will not receive status notifications from the corporation.
