    Dear Parents,                                                                                     image

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you a few things about myself.   I graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington.   I have also completed my masters in education from Olivet University.  My husband’s name is Kurt Casper.   He is employed with GlaxoSmithKline.  We are both Center Grove graduates.  We have a daughter named Mallory and a son named Chace.  We also have a little 3-pound Yorkie named Oakly.

My goal as your child’s teacher is to help your child develop a lifelong love for learning, with positive self-esteem and self-image.  I want to help my students believe in themselves, so they can accomplish anything.  I will do this by recognizing all my student’s outstanding qualities with positive reinforcement and hugs.  Hopefully they will love school. J

I think that it is important that we work together as a team to make sure that your child achieves the best education possible.  Communication is the key to that success.  You will be hearing from me on a frequent basis because you are the most important person in your child’s life, and your involvement and support mean a great deal to the school, to me, and to your child.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me anytime (317) 881-1720 ext. 6503.

You will receive first grade monthly newsletters to let you know what is going on for the month.   Please check your child’s green folder every night for notes, homework, and graded papers.

I am so excited to work with you and your child.  I am looking forward to a great school year!!!

    Love,

    Mrs. Malia Casper
