I am a true Hoosier! I have lived my entire life in the great state of Indiana. I grew up on the north side of Indianapolis, near Butler University. I attended School #86 and Shortridge High School. I attended Indiana University in Bloomington for two years, before transferring to IUPUI. I graduated in 1994 with a degree in Elementary Education, with an endorsement in Gifted & Talented. I started my teaching career in the Indianapolis Public School system where I taught for three years before coming to Center Grove. I taught at Maple Grove Elementary for 18 years, and I am excited to begin my sixth year in Extended Learning at North Grove.
I live in Beech Grove with my husband, Chris. We have two sons; Nate and Alex; two beautiful daughter-in-laws (Abby & Lindsey), and an incredibly handsome grandson (Nash). We also have a dachshund named Molly and two kitties named Mille and Luna.
In my free time I love to make hand-made jewelry and other crafts, and work in my yard. I also enjoy spending time with my family. I have one brother and one sister, who I am extremely close to.
