Frequently Asked QuestionsWhy should I participate in a wellness screening?The information you gain from routine biometric screenings can improve your health. “Knowing your numbers” enables you to be proactive in addressing any health issues so you can stay healthy and live better. You will learn more about your general health and any possible health risks. During the screening, you also will have an opportunity to find out about the health services available to you and ask questions or address health concerns with a medical professional.Are the results of my wellness screening confidential?Indiana University Health is a HIPAA-compliant organization and takes confidentiality very seriously. At no time will your individual biometric screening results be provided to your employer.Who is eligible to participate in a wellness screening at Center Grove Wellness Center?
Any Center Grove Community School Corporation employee may participate in the screenings. Spouses are also eligible if they participate in the school corporation’s health plan. The wellness screening is free for employees and spouses on Center Grove’s Anthem insurance plan. A fee of $35 will be charged for employees who do not participate in Center Grove’s health plan. Payment must be made by check payable to Center Grove Community School Corporation.Are there any incentives for participating in the wellness screening?Each employee who is a member of Center Grove’s health insurance plan and participates in the screening will receive a reduction of $5 per pay in their health insurance premium deduction. This will start with the first pay in April and run for 12 months for a total reduction of $120. Employees who leave the corporation before March 2020 will not receive the total reduction.When and where will the wellness screenings take place?Screenings will be held on February 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, and 26 from 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.; February 16 & 23 from 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Center Grove Wellness Center, 2943 Morgantown Road. Appointments are required.What if I can't make the appointment I scheduled?If you schedule an appointment, but cannot make it, please cancel the appointment so that someone else can use that time.What does the wellness screening include?
The screening includes:
- Blood pressure
- Height and weight
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Cholesterol (total, HDL, LDL and triglycerides)
- Fasting blood glucose
- Hemoglobin A1C
How long will the wellness screening take?
Please allow 15 to 20 minutes to complete the screening.
How do I prepare for the wellness screening?
It is important that you fast for 12 hours prior to your appointment. However, please take any prescribed medications as usual. You may also drink water. In addition, please bring your Anthem insurance card and driver's license to your appointment.Can I return to work after the screening?
Yes, it is safe to return to work after your wellness screening.When will I get my results?The results will be shared with you before you leave the screening. You will have an opportunity to talk briefly with the health coach to review your results. You’ll also be able to schedule a one-on-one session with the health coach at a later date to discuss your results in more detail, set health goals and develop a plan for improving your numbers. For follow up, you can also schedule an appointment at the Wellness Center to speak with the physician about your results.
