GOAL 5: CONNECTED LEARNING

We will increase the effectiveness of instructional technology to improve student learning.

 

OVERVIEW

Center Grove strives to improve student achievement, student engagement, collaboration, and communication by utilizing a student-centered personalized instructional approach to learning where technology is utilized in meaningful ways. This goal aims to provide teachers the support necessary for that instruction.

PROGRESS UPDATE

  • A fourth Brightbytes survey was administered and the results were shared with the building administration to plan for future PD offerings. This survey which helps to identify the areas of growth/need from the past year.
  • We have implementated an online course, in Canvas, to house teacher PD and resources to facilitate the PLC process.
  • Monthly Twitter chats were held on the last Wednesday of each month. Anyone is welcome to join, just look for the hashtag #cgi3.

 We will increase teachers’ understanding of the SAMR (Substitution Augmentation Modification 
Redefinition) Model and its relation to the Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning.

 

 We will strengthen the Instructional Technology Foundations available for our instructional staff.

 

 We will increase the number of connected educators and provide ongoing, tiered support to promote continuous and collaborative learning.
