Superintendent
Dear Center Grove Community,
I am honored to present the Center Grove Community School Corporation Strategic Plan, a collective vision that reflects our shared commitment to excellence in education. Over the past seven months, our district has engaged in a thoughtful and inclusive process to shape this plan. Through community-wide surveys and focus groups, we gathered valuable insights from students, families, staff, and community members. Our steering team, made up of teachers, parents, community members, and school and district leaders, meticulously analyzed this data and employed design thinking to ensure that the strategic plan aligns with the aspirations and needs of our entire community.
This plan is anchored by our mission to develop knowledgeable, confident, and responsible citizens through inspirational and innovative learning opportunities and our vision for all students to receive an exceptional educational experience. Guided by our core values- Learning, Empowerment, and Community- we have identified three strategic pillars: Learn and Succeed, Belong and Thrive, and Communicate and Engage. Details on these pillars are outlined on this page. This strategic plan is more than a document; it is a commitment to our students, staff, and community. It sets forth a clear direction for our district, emphasizing collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared responsibility.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the development of this plan. Your insights, dedication, and passion have been instrumental in shaping a vision that will guide Center Grove Community School Corporation into a promising future. Together, we will continue to build a district where every student thrives.
Sincerely,
Dr. William K. Long
Superintendent
STRATEGIC PLAN PILLARS
The Strategic Plan committee used the values and priorities identified through community survey and focus group responses to develop pillars for the plan. Each pillar includes a goal and a set of initiatives that will be used to implement those goals.
LEARN & SUCCEED

GOAL: We will create learning environments, experiences, and opportunities that challenge all learners to achieve their highest potential. With aligned curriculum, data-informed instruction, evidence-based practices, and clear expectations, we will support high-quality and engaging learning for all students and staff.
BELONG & THRIVE

GOAL: We will empower our students and staff to thrive by building supportive environments where they feel a deep sense of belonging and connection. Through opportunities for voice and leadership, we will help every Center Grove learner grow with confidence, kindness, and purpose.
COMMUNICATE & ENGAGE

GOAL: We will foster a culture where constituents feel heard, valued, and engaged by creating meaningful opportunities for participation, feedback, and connection across the Center Grove experience. Our communication with families and the broader community will be intentional and proactive, creating trust and partnership with every member of the Center Grove community.
