The Center Grove High School Varsity Competitive Cheer team took home 4A Indiana Game Day State Runners-Up honors at the 2025 Hoosier Cheer Coaches Association Spirit State Championship competition.

The CGHS Boys Cross Country team placed 10th in the IHSAA Cross Country State Championships on Saturday, November 1st, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute.

Center Grove High School inducted 57 students into the Spanish Honor Society on Thursday, October 23rd.

Center Grove High School engineering and technology department chair Brent Schulz and biomedical science teacher Andrea Teevan have been named 2025-26 Outstanding PLTW Teachers by Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a national organization that empowers students through transformative STEM learning experiences.

Center Grove High School Spanish teacher Kristi Fleck has been selected by the Indiana Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese as its 2025 Indiana High School Teacher of the Year.

Center Grove High School's Bridges students were among 40 high school and middle school students chosen from across the state to participate in a creative wellness program at the Indianapolis Colts headquarters.

The National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) has named Center Grove Police Department Sergeant David Beasley a NASRO Practitioner.

Center Grove High School celebrated Homecoming 2025 with a day full of Trojan spirit on Friday, October 3rd.

Center Grove High School’s Model United Nations (MUN) club hosted an interschool training conference on Saturday, September 27, welcoming students from Ben Davis, Avon, and Speedway high schools. The event was held as part of the Crossroads MUN League.

Center Grove's middle schools inducted 170 new students in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Middle School North inducted 88 new members (pictured), while Middle School Central inducted 82 students. 

The newest officer to join the Center Grove Police Department is officer Matt Maciak.

Thirteen Center Grove High School seniors were honored as 2026 National Merit Scholarship Commended Students.

The Board unanimously approved a resolution on Thursday, September 18th, to honor long-time tennis coach Ivan Smith by naming the Center Grove High School Tennis Courts the “Ivan Smith Tennis Complex.”

The Center Grove Board Spotlight for September was on the Academy at Sugar Grove Elementary. Academy Coordinator Jenifer Prenatt recognized three outstanding Academy members: Amy Schilawski, teacher in the Bridges Academy; Sarah Haas, occupational therapist in the preschool; and Marlow Grant, preschool student.

Four Center Grove High School seniors have been named Semifinalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Mohammed Khan, Ivy McClimon, Andra Veleta, and Kelli Wang are among more than 16,000 students nationwide to receive the honor, which is awarded to less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors.

Senior Sunrise for a Class of 2026 was a success! More than 400 CGHS seniors came together at Ray Skillman Stadium to watch the sun come up on Friday, August 26th.

Center Grove High School hosted 24 colleges and universities from Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky at a College Fair on Thursday, August 28th.

The School Board recognized several Center Grove High School athletes and teams at the August Board meeting who had an outstanding spring season.
