CG Headlines 2019-20

Center Grove High School (CGHS) plans to graduate 629 students on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the high school’s Ray Skillman Football Stadium.

Center Grove High School junior Elyse Roge is the recipient of a National Medal for photography through the 2020 Scholastic Awards.

Center Grove Middle School Central teacher Carrie Sumney is the 2019-20 Center Grove Community School Corporation Teacher of the Year.

Center Grove Middle School North 8th grader and National Junior Honor Society member, Jemma Walker, has taken the initiative during the quarantine to make masks for frontline healthcare workers and others in need.

Center Grove High School juniors Tatum Hacker and Ananya Kartik are part of the Empowered Youth Coalition, which was honored as one of the top 10 campaigns across the nation for Take Down Tobacco Day on March 18th.

Center Grove Middle School North students swept the Greenwood Sertoma Club's "What Freedom Means to Me" essay contest. 

Center Grove will honor 49 current, former, and retired teachers with Legacy Awards. Center Grove High School seniors each nominate the teacher who has made the greatest impact on them during their time in Center Grove schools.

Center Grove High School has named the Top 20 Students in the Class of 2020. In lieu of an in-person gathering, the students will be honored with a virtual event.

The Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) has chosen Brooke Phillips, principal of Maple Grove Elementary School, as its 2020 District 9 Elementary Principal of the Year.

Members of Center Grove High School's Math National Honor Society earned 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and Honorable Mention honors at the 2020 IUPUI High School Math Contest.

The National Student Council (NatStuCo) has named Center Grove High School's Student Council a 2020 National Gold Council of Excellence for the third consecutive year.

Center Grove High School senior Sophia Hagedorn was named one of 40 2020 Indiana Academic All-Stars by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP).
