Sergeant David Beasley
SERGEANT DAVID BEASLEY
Police Experience
Sergeant Beasley realized his desire for a law enforcement career upon entering college. While attending IUPUI he completed internships with the Indianapolis Airport Police Department and the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) which solidified his decision for law enforcement.
In May 2018, Sergeant Beasley was hired with the Indianapolis Airport Police Department (IAPD). He then attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in June of 2018 and graduated in September 2018. He left IAPD in April 2019 to join the Center Grove Police Department
Education
Sergeant Beasley was homeschooled during high school. He attended IUPUI and graduated with a B.S. in Criminal Justice in Spring of 2018. While attending IUPUI he received the following awards:
- IUPUI Top 100 Candidate
- Jaguars Athletics Fund Academic Achievement Award (Highest Male Athlete GPA)
- Mel Garland Distinguished Student-Athlete Award
- Seven-time Summit/Horizon League Academic Award Winner
Athletics
Sergeant Beasley began playing tennis when he was ten years old, and was able to break into the top ten of the USTA National rankings during middle school. During his junior year of high school, he was ranked as high as the number two college recruit in the United States, according to the Tennis Recruiting Network.
Sergeant Beasley committed to play D1 tennis at IUPUI and in his college career he achieved the following awards:
• All-time leader in singles wins
• Summit League Newcomer of the Year
• Three-time All-Conference League Selection
About Sergeant Beasley
When Sergeant Beasley is not working he still finds time to coach and play tennis. Also in his free time, he enjoys playing and listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
