2025-26 Student Devices

Center Grove Schools will transition middle school students from iPads to Chromebooks for the 2025-26 school year. The corporation has been researching and piloting devices for the last year to gather feedback from teachers and students. High school students will continue to use iPads but will be limited to which devices they can bring from home to supplement their learning. 

These changes are designed to create a more consistent learning experience in the classroom, ensure equitable access to digital content, and enhance online security by providing greater control over accessible content.

Grades 6-8

For the 25-26 school year, middle school students will be required to use a school-issued Chromebook and will no longer be permitted to use personal devices at school. 

Grades 9-12

For the 25-26 school year, high school students will be required to use school-issued iPads. Students will be permitted to supplement their school-issued device with a personal laptop.
