What teaching means to me.......

To me, Teaching is important because education and knowledge give students a voice and power within their lives. As educators not only are we imparting this knowledge but also forming relationships that can change the way students feel about themselves and learning. I am only a small part of their educational journey, but I have the opportunity and privilege to make an impact. After they leave my classroom, I want them to remember the lessons learned but also feel that they are cared for and who they are matters. This will serve them well as they transition to each new phase of life, and they will want to continue learning.
