Current Construction Projects

Construction is nearing completion on the Sugar Grove Elementary renovation. This second phase relocated the gymnasium to the south side of the building to allow for the expansion of the cafeteria. The existing gymnasium will be converted into a Large Group Instruction (LGI) space. The project also includes additional security cameras, renovation of the administrative offices and classrooms and spaces that were not included in phase 1, and additional playground space. 

The project cost $10,600,000 and did not impact the tax rate for White River Township taxpayers.  

CGHS Hitting & Practice Facility

Center Grove opened a new facility on the high school campus late this fall that provides an instructional hitting space for the CGHS softball team, indoor golf simulators for the CGHS boys and girls golf teams, and indoor practice space for CGHS cheerleading teams. The building sits on the high school campus, just east of the football stadium. This project was achieved without increasing the tax rate for White River Township taxpayers.

Center Grove Wellness Center

A new employee wellness center has been constructed along Morgantown Road, across from Center Grove High School. This facility replaces the existing employee wellness center. It includes additional exam rooms with improved design for privacy and lab space to accommodate the district's growing staff, along with mental health consultation rooms, an employee fitness center, dedicated space for physical therapy, and a classroom for fitness classes.

This construction was funded through a GO Bond and did not increase the tax rate for White River Township taxpayers. The facility is now open for Center Grove employees.
