Parents, grandparents, family members, community members, retirees...anyone with an interest in helping students learn at The Innovation Center.

Adventure times depend on the grade level.

We have two Adventure sessions per day, (9:30-11:30 and (12:00-2:00). We ask our volunteers to arrive at the Innovation Center, 10 minutes before a session and to plan to stay 10 minutes after students leave.

You will go to your student's school building and check-in at the front office to receive your Raptor ID Badge. You can then drive over to the Innovation Center. 2797 Trojan Lane.

You are able to volunteer as often as you would like. You might prefer once a month, once a semester, weekly, twice a week - it is up to you and your schedule. We are thankful for your time and willingness to contribute to student learning at The Innovation Center.

Yes! You can volunteer when your child attends an Adventure at The IC! Work with your child's teacher on how they are accepting volunteers.

Assist with student learning during an Adventure:

• You’ll be a Lead Learner, meaning that you’ll be learning alongside students.
• No prior experience or knowledge is needed.
• You’ll stay with one class for the full Adventure.
• The teacher will be leading the activity.
• Support students in clean-up.
• Prepare the materials according to the instructions provided.

Yes, for grades 3-5, we are asking volunteers to bring their lunch. Some volunteers will be enjoying their lunch while watching the students they are working with while the other volunteers are resetting the stations to prepare for the next round of STEM lessons. 

The Innovation Center is a student-centered learning environment. Students will be strategically placed throughout The IC during Adventures. It is required that all adults in The IC have completed the volunteer background check application.

No, we need volunteers in place and ready to go before students arrive for the day. Also, the bus space is limited for transportation from each elementary school.

Enter the high school lot off of Stones Crossing, take the second exit of the round-about, pass the football field/parking (right side) and our building is on the right side, Innovation Center, 2797 Trojan Lane. Enter Door 1 which is the east facing door. 

Staff will check you in on our volunteer list given to us from your student's school building. Please have a photo ID ready.
