CGHS ACADEMIC PAVILION

The Center Grove High School Academic Pavilion is three stories tall (50,000 total SF) and is located on the west side of the High School, adjacent to the natatorium. This project added 18 academic classrooms, a collaboration space, and a secondary food court. This project also included additional security cameras and additional space for the bus parking lot.

To make room for this project, the Professional Resource Center (old Maple Grove building) was torn down. The project cost $19,750,000 and did not increase the tax rate for White River Township taxpayers. The pavilion opened to students in Spring 2025. The design (pictured) allows for a second pavilion to be added with additional classrooms as growth continues in the future.

The second phase of construction on Sugar Grove Elementary School relocated the gymnasium to the south side of the building to allow for the expansion of the cafeteria. The existing gymnasium was converted into a Large Group Instruction (LGI) space. The project also included additional security cameras, the renovation of the administrative offices, classrooms, and spaces that were not included in phase 1, and additional playground space. 

The project cost $10,600,000 and did not impact the tax rate for White River Township taxpayers.  

CGHS Hitting & Practice Facility

Center Grove opened a new facility on the high school campus in the Fall of 2024 that provides an instructional hitting space for the CGHS softball team, indoor golf simulators for the CGHS boys and girls golf teams, and indoor practice space for CGHS cheerleading teams. The building sits on the high school campus, just east of the football stadium. This project was achieved without increasing the tax rate for White River Township taxpayers.

Center Grove Wellness Center

A new employee wellness center was constructed along Morgantown Road, across from Center Grove High School. This facility replaced the employee wellness center located on Pennington Road. It includes additional exam rooms with improved design for privacy and lab space to accommodate the district's growing staff, along with mental health consultation rooms, an employee fitness center, dedicated space for physical therapy, and a classroom for fitness classes.

This construction was funded through a GO Bond and did not increase the tax rate for White River Township taxpayers.
