Pleasant Grove Elementary Renovation

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Pleasant Grove Elementary was originally constructed in 1987 with a square footage of 71,240. A renovation project was started in the fall of 2016 to add two new classrooms and renovate four Kindergarten classrooms. The old Art and Music space was turned into an LGI space. The gymnasium was also expanded.

This project will address the following needs:

  • Improve Learning Spaces
    • Renovate classrooms to Center Grove’s learning space standards
    • New cabinetry, furniture, paint, carpet, ceilings, lighting
  • Add Classrooms
    • Four classrooms will be added to accommodate growth  

The project cost will be just over $5.1 million. It will be funded without impacting the current tax rate for White River Township.

Work on this phase of the PGES project is expected to be completed by Fall 2022.
