The Board of School Trustees has begun a nationwide search for the next superintendent. The position will remain posted through February 9th. Multiple rounds of interviews are planned in February and March. A survey of parents, staff, and community members will be open from January 26th through February 6th to gather feedback from all stakeholders on their expectations for the next superintendent. The Board anticipates naming the next superintendent in mid-April and is committed to a thorough process that keeps student learning and district stability at the forefront.

The Board invites Center Grove employees, parents, and community members to complete a brief, anonymous survey to share input on the qualities and priorities desired in the next superintendent. A summary of the results will be shared with the Board.

Professional Qualifications and Selection Criteria:

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from an accredited institution, with specialization in educational leadership, supervision, or administration preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful central office leadership.
  • Valid Indiana Superintendent license preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of successful teaching in a public school is preferred.
  • Effective skills in communication, multitasking, collaboration, and marketing.
  • Strong working knowledge of community relations and willingness to be a visible community leader.
  • Approachable visionary leader with high expectations and demonstrated ability to motivate all members of the faculty and staff and embrace a culture of excellence and continued improvement.
  • Values relationships as a foundation of the district, both internal and external.
  • A sincere interest in promoting and preserving high academic achievement in a competitive local market.
  • Possess the highest personal standards, good morals, ethics, honesty, commitment, and integrity.
