    Center Grove Middle School North is located in White River Township at 202 North Morgantown Road, Greenwood, Indiana 46142. The forty-eight square mile White River Township in Johnson County is the boundary for the Center Grove Community School Corporation. White River Township is the northwestern section of Johnson County and is immediately south of Marion County. The Center Grove Middle School North enrollment area is all the area north of Smith Valley Road in White River Township with an attendance management area to the east of Highway 135 and south of Smith Valley Road. The attendance zone is composed of suburban areas. Center Grove Middle School North is in its fourth year of operation and receives students from four (all students from Pleasant Grove Elementary and North Grove Elementary, the majority of students from West Grove Elementary and approximately one third of the students from Sugar Grove Elementary)of the six elementary schools in the district, with eighth grade students transitioning in their freshmen year to Center Grove High School.

     Center Grove Middle School North provides students with an academically rich and age appropriate curriculum in grades 6-8. Core academic classes for students in grades six and seven consist of language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. The core academic classes for eighth grade students include language arts, mathematics, social studies, science. Full year classes in French, Japanese and Spanish are available for those students who qualify. Students receive high school credit for these classes. The exploratory offerings for students in grades 6-8, also known as Unified Arts, include art, band, choir, computers, family and consumer science, health/physical fitness, industrial technology, and orchestra. Students will have these classes and either band, choir, or orchestra during their three years at CGMSN.

    The core curriculum is delivered to students on grade level teams. There are four smaller grade level teams consisting of two or three teachers at sixth grade to ease the transition to middle school, while there are two grade level teams in each of the seventh and eighth grades. Each team at the seventh and eighth grade levels has five teachers.

    The Indiana Academic Standards focus instruction in all areas. The Indiana Academic Standards Resource provides standards-based activities and sample assessments to promote further alignment with the Indiana Academic Standards.
