IMPORTANT DATES

  • Freshmen Orientation (Freshman Students Only): Thursday, July 25, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Freshman Schedule Pick-Up: Thursday, July 25, 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. 
  • Schedule Postings: Not posted until Thursday, July 25
  • Freshmen Fro-Yo Night: Monday, July 29, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • First Day of School: Thursday, August 1st 
  • Meet the Teacher Night: Thursday, August 8, 6:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.  
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences: Thursday, September 12, 3:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.

FEES

The state legislature eliminated fees for educational materials prior to the 2024-25 school year. Center Grove families will not be charged textbook fees this school year. Fees may be charged for courses that earn college credit. Parents and students will still be responsible for any lost or damaged educational material. 

iPad Information 
Each student will receive or may use their own iPad. If you choose to bring your own iPad, please fill out the form at this link.


MEAL PRICES 

Center Grove's Food and Nutrition Services Department provides breakfast and lunch options for all students in grades K-12. Menus and nutritional information are available through Nutrislice, which is available online and via iTunes and Google apps. 

Breakfast Prices (Applies to all schools)
Elementary: $1.70, Reduced $0.30
Secondary: $1.70, Reduced $0.30
Staff/Adult Visitor Breakfast: $2.70

Lunch Prices (Applies to all a schools)
Elementary – Paid: $2.60 Reduced: $0.40
Secondary – Paid: $2.80 Reduced: $0.40
Premium Lunch: $3.50
Staff/Adult Visitor Lunch: $4.80 

A La Carte Pricing
Milk: $0.60
Elementary Extra Entrée: $2.10
Secondary Extra Entrée: $2.30
Premium Secondary Entrée $3.00

Meal prices are established to cover food and non-food expenses, staff benefits and labor expenses, and equipment repair and replacement. The food service department is self-supporting and does not receive money from the general fund.

Menus and nutritional information are available through Nutrislice, which is available online and via iTunes and Google apps.

Meal Modifications: If your child requires meal modifications due to a food allergy, intolerance, or other medical condition, please contact our Director of Food Service, Valarie Miller.


eFUNDS

Parents may use Skyward Family Access to make prepayments to their child's lunch account using e-Funds. 

You will still start the process in Skyward Family Access.

  • Credit card payments will have a $2.85 convenience fee per $100 transaction
  • Electronic check (ACH transactions) will have a $1.25 convenience fee with a daily limit of $1,000 per bank account, per day

ATTENDANCE 

REPORTING ABSENCES
CGHS will use Skyward Family Access to report absences. Instructions are available at this link. Information regarding excused absences can be found in the CGHS handbook.


SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS INFORMATION 

Remember to update your email and cellphone numbers in Skyward Family Access to ensure your child’s school has the correct contact information for your family. Contact information updated in Skyward will automatically update in ParentSquare.

One-minute tutorials are available here to show you how to use Skyward Family Access to access your child's information, including grades, food service balances, schedule, notification settings, and more.

Help with Credentials
If you do not remember your Family Access credentials, please use the “Forgot Your Password?” link. If you need additional assistance, please contact the high school directly. The front office staff will be able to help you.


SUPPLY LISTS

Supplies needed for each course will be communicated to students by each teacher during the first class sessions.


TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANCE 

For assistance with accessing accounts such as Skyward, Digital eLibrary, and student email, contact the CGCSC Technology Help Desk at 317-882-1055, Option 1. 


TRANSPORTATION

Center Grove Schools provide transportation for every student who lives within the district boundaries and attends his/her assigned school. Bus pick-up and drop-off times and bus stops will be posted in Skyward after July 25. 

Instructions to access bus info:

  1. Log in to Skyward.
  2. If you have more than one student, choose a name from the drop down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Go to the left side of the screen and choose the "Student Info" tab.
  4. On the Student Info page you will see your child's photo. Click on "View Bus Schedule" to the right of the photo.

Tracking Your Student's Bus
Center Grove utilizes an app called "Here Comes the Bus" to give parents a way to track their child's school bus. You can find instructions on how to download the app and access your child's information on our website at this link.
