November 9, 2025 - Center Grove High School's Spell Bowl team qualified for the State Finals by placing third among 129 schools in the area competition at Bloomington South High School on Monday, November 3rd. The team correctly spelled 54 of 90 words. Blake Corbeil was honored as a perfect speller and Ishan Tariq Shahul was honored as a near-perfect speller. The State Finals will be held November 15th at Purdue University. The CGHS Spell Bowl team sponsor is Jennifer Schonfeld.
