October 12, 2025- Center Grove High School Spanish teacher Kristi Fleck has been selected by the Indiana Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese as its 2025 Indiana High School Teacher of the Year.

"Mrs. Fleck really deserves this renowned state award. Her strong dedication and passion for teaching Spanish, her distinguished presentations, her impressive service, and her deep involvement with students' success and advancement were evident in her dossier," said Israel Fernando Herrera, AATSP Indiana Recognition and Distinction Committee Chair.

Fleck will now represent AATSP Indiana in the IFLTA Conference and will compete for the title of 2025 Indiana Foreign Language Teacher of the Year.
