June 21, 2026 - Ciara Hunter is the next Assistant Principal of Pleasant Grove Elementary School. Her appointment was approved by the CGCSC Board of School Trustees at its June meeting. This is a return to Pleasant Grove for Mrs. Hunter. She taught fourth grade at PGES for four years before moving to Middle School North as a dean. Hunter was also Pleasant Grove’s Teacher of the Year in 2023. During her 23 years in education, she has also worked as an instructional assistant and the assistant director of a preschool. 

Hunter holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She replaces Martha Andersen, who retired earlier this month.
