February 22, 2026 - North Grove Elementary School Instructional Coach Lisa LaFavers has been recognized with the Science of Reading Champion Award by The Reading League Indiana. The award recognizes Indiana educators who demonstrate exemplary leadership in implementing evidence-aligned reading instruction grounded in the Science of Reading.

Three winners were chosen from across Indiana and announced at The Reading League's Annual Conference on Saturday, February 21st. Each winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
