June 21, 2026 - Kristy Wright will be joining CGCSC as our new Coordinator of Special Education. Her appointment was approved by the CGCSC Board of School Trustees at its June meeting. Mrs. Wright comes to Center Grove from Madison Area Special Services, where she has served for the last 2.5 years as the Special Education Director. Prior to Madison, she spent five years working with the state as a monitoring team member for the Indiana Department of Education and a consultant for the Indiana IEP Resource Center. She also spent 17 years in various special education roles in Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation, Earlywood Educational Services, Crothersville Community Schools, and Boone-Clinton-Northwest Hendricks Joint Services.

Wright holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Purdue University and a master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Purdue University. She received her Director of Exceptional Needs licensure through Indiana University-Bloomington. This position replaces the Director of Secondary Special Education role as part of the restructuring of the Special Education Department.
