    Purpose:
    The General Fund is used for most of our operating expenses, including: salaries, fringe benefits, supplies, utilities, and insurance.  Approximately 92% of the General Fund is spent on salaries and fringe benefits:
     
    Revenue Sources:
    Most of the revenue in the General Fund comes from the State, through the funding formula.
     
    Property Tax Impact:
    Since 1999, no property taxes are used for the General Fund.
