NGES hosts EPA grant announcement

(October 28, 2020) - North Grove Elementary hosted a grant announcement by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) on Wednesday, October 28th. The grant includes more than $55 million for water infrastructure in Indiana, helping to keep drinking water safe and reducing children's exposure to lead. North Grove recently completed water testing funded by the grant. Testing is planned in all CGCSC schools.
"In Center Grove, our administration and School Board are strongly committed to the overall health and wellbeing of our students," Superintendent Rich Arkanoff, Ed.D. told the crowd. "This grant allows us to continue to monitor areas such as air and water quality in all of our buildings as part of that commitment."
A database of CGCSC test results for asbestos, copper, lead, and radon are available at centergrove.k12.in.us/facilitytesting.
