50 CGHS seniors awarded white coats

(May 21, 2023) - Center Grove High School presented 50 seniors with their white coats during a ceremony on Tuesday, May 16. The students earned the honor by completing four years of Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Biomedical Science courses. During the ceremony, students received their white coats, learned about its significance, and took a PLTW Hippocratic Oath.
The recipients include Derik Alting, Brock Berry, Amelia Brandon, Kendyl Brown, Grant Carlson, Collin Carroll, Deniz Coskun, Suhani Desai, Alexandra Dieterle, Callie Due, Evan Dunkle, Lauren Durbin, William Eberhart, Abigail Evans, Aliviah Faurote, Stephen Falls, James Feitl, Maleia Field, Haley Fuhr, Alec Gardner, Elizabeth Hayden, Ella Herron, Zachary Hoffman, Eliza LaFavers, Margaret Lee, Cassidy Linville-West, Gowthamm Mandala, Wesley McCrea, Mallory McDonald, Lauren McLeish, Ashley Mitchell, Mitul Patel, Brinna Porat, Hannah Rau, Lily Sawyer, Lance Schabel, Shreyas Seerum, Jaskaran Singh, Andrew Spomar, Nathan Stewart, Fenton Strickland, Rahber Syeda, Ruby Thompson, Brett Trammell, Colin Wilson, Natalie Wilson, Shelby Wingler, Griffin Worley, Kolyn Wright, and Caden York.
The Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science sequence allows students to investigate the roles of biomedical professionals as they study the concepts of human medicine, physiology, genetics, microbiology, and public health. Students who complete all four years of the program also receive their Ivy tech dual-credit certification. Many also qualify for their PLTW+AP certificate recognized by the College Board as someone who is ready for advanced course work and interested in a STEM Career.
