(May 29, 2023) - The Center Grove School Board awarded Caleb Hartford a Shining Star Award at its May 25 meeting. Caleb is a bus driver and cafeteria monitor. In April, he noticed a student struggling in the Pleasant Grove Elementary cafeteria and performed the Heimlich Maneuver. His quick thinking helped save the student who was choking. The Shining Star Award recognizes an employee, student, or community member who has gone beyond the expected to make the Center Grove Community a better place.
